Heat bring back Shavlik Randolph

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat have re-signed free agent forward Shavlik Randolph to an undisclosed contract. Randolph had two separate stints with the Heat last season. He appeared in two games after being signed as a free agent on September 28, then was waived on December 14. After a brief tenure with Portland, Miami re-signed him on April 6.

The Duke product appeared in six games for the Heat and Trail Blazers last season, averaging 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds.

In 95 career NBA games, including seven starts, Randolph has averaged 2.4 points and 2.4 rebounds.
