 UCLA coach Howland has surgery

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - UCLA head men's basketball coach Ben Howland underwent successful surgery to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon. The procedure was performed on Friday at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
Howland has been UCLA's coach since 2003, and guided the Bruins to three consecutive Final Four appearances (2006-08).
